Peetz Homecoming- Week 6

The lady Bulldogs fell to the Merino Rams on Tuesday, September 30, in three sets (11-25, 18-25, 21-25) Leading with Kills was Elizabeth Fehringer with 6, Nichole Burns and Brooke Schumacher with 5, Angelee Goranson with 3, Breana Curtis 2, and Kellsie Nienhuser and Bailey Sorensen with 1 each. Burns, Fehringer, and Goranson all had 2 blocks. Breana Curtis and Brooke Schumacher picked up 8 digs, followed by Nichole Burns with 6, Michelle Bivens and Angelee each had 3, Nicole Carpenter had 2, and Bailey Sorensen had 1. Kellsie Nienhuser had 15 assists, Angelee Goranson had 2 and Nichole Burns had 1.
The Lady Bulldogs lost a well fought homecoming game on October 4, falling in 4 sets (23-25, 22-25, 25-19, 23-25) Michelle Bivens led in serving points with 21 and one ace, followed by kellsie Nienhuser with 17, Brooke Schumacher with 12, Nichole Burns with 11, and Breana Curtis with 10. Nichole Burns led in Kills with 13, followed by Elizabeth Fehringer with 12, Brooke Schumacher with 7, and Breana Curtis and Angelee Goranson with 5 each. Nichole burns was a huge asset at the net with 10 solo blocks, Elizabeth Fehringer had 5, and Angelee Goranson and Breana Curtis had 1 each. Brooke Schumacher picked up 19 digs, Kellsie Nienhuser, Breana Curtis, and Nichole Burns each had 18, and Angelee Goranson and Michelle Bivens had 11 each. Kellsie Nienhuser had 25 assists, Angelee Goranson had 7, and Bailey Sorensen had 3.

The Peetz Volleyball team joined in with 104.7 FM and area schools to help increase breast cancer awareness. Peetz held a "Pink out night" on the night of their homecoming, selling pink breast cancer shirts for $10 and proceeds went to help area breast cancer testing. The Bulldogs will play two games next week on Tuesday October 7, at home against Caliche starting at 4 with C, JV, and Varsity. They will also play the Briggsdale Falcons on Friday at home starting at 4:30. Friday will be parents night for volleyball and football.

Week 5

The Lady Bulldogs swept Lonestar on Monday September 22 (25-13, 25-16, 25-16). Leading in Aces was Angelee Goranson and Bailey Sorensen with 3 each, followed by Michelle Bivens and Kellsie Nienhuser with 2 each, and Nichole Burns, Morgan Meier, Leslie Roelle, and Audrey Ward with 1 each. Elizabeth Fehringer Led in kills with 5, followed by Brooke Schumacher with 4, Breana Curtis and Nicole Carpenter with 3 each, and Nichole Burns, Angelee Goranson, Morgan Meier, Bailey Sorensen, and Audrey Ward with 1 a piece. Nicole Carpenter had 2 solo blocks, and Bailey Sorensen and Nichole Burns added one each. Nichole Burns picked up 8 digs, Audrey Ward had 7, Brooke Schumacher and Angelee Goranson had 6 each, Michelle Bivens, Breana Curtis, Morgan Meier, and Stalina Schumacher picked up 3 each, Leslie Roelle and Nicole Carpenter had 2 each and Elizabeth Fehringer, Kali Michaels, and Kellsie Nienhuser had one each.

Bulldog Volleyball - Week 4

The Lady Bulldogs played a tough week, traveling to Prairie on Thursday the 18th and winning in 5 sets ( 25-22, 12-25, 25-22, 19-25, 15-8). The Bulldogs traveled to Briggsdale on Friday and fell in 5 sets (23-25, 13-25, 25-20, 25-22, 19-21). Leading in Aces on thursday against Prairie was Nichole Burns with 3, followed by Brooke Schumacher with 1. Leading in kills was Elizabeth Fehringer with 14, followed by Nichole Burns with 9, Brooke Schumacher with 8, Breana Curtis with 5, and Angelee Goranson and Kellsie Nienhuser with 2 each. Elizabeth Fehringer led in blocks with 5, Nichole Burns followed with 4, and Angelee Goranson and Breana Curtis had 1 each. Kellsie Nienhuser had 25 assists, Angelee Goranson had 2 and Nichole Burns had 1. Angelee Goranson led in digs with 18, Brooke Schumacher and Nichole Burns followed with 16 each, and Breana Curtis with 14.
On Friday nights game against the Crow Valley Falcons Nichole Burns led in kills with 13, Brooke Schumacher followed with 9, Elizabeth Fehringer had 7, Breana Curtis had 5, Angelee Goranson had 4, and Kellsie Nienhuser had 1. Leading in blocks was Elizabeth Fehringer with 7 and Nichole burns with 4. Nichole Burns picked up 25 digs, followed by Breana Curtis with 23, Brooke Schumacher with 21, Angelee Goranson with 13, Kellsie Nienhuser with 11, Michelle Bivens with 6, Elizabeth Fehringer with 3, Bailey Sorensen and Nicole Carpenter with 2 each and Kali Michaels with 1. Kellsie Nienhuser led in Aces with 2 and Michelle Bivens, Nichole Burns, Breana Curtis, and Brooke Schumacher all added 1.
The lady Bulldogs will travel to Lonestar next monday, September 22 at 5:30. The Lady Bulldogs will also travel to Potter on Saturday the 27th for the annual Potter-Dix Tournament, starting at 9 A.M.

The Lady bulldogs had a long week this week with three games on the road. On Tuesday, Sept 9, the Lady Bulldogs played Haxtun and won in three (25-14, 25-14, 25-23) Leading in aces was Nichole Burns with 4 followed by Angelee Goranson with 3, and Breana Curtis and Stalina Schumacher with 2 a piece. Leading in kills was Elizabeth Fehringer with 6, Breana Curtis with 5, and Nichole Burns with 3. Elizabeth Fehringer had 3 blocks and Nichole Burns and Angelee Goranson added 1 a piece. Leading in Digs was Nichole Burns with 16 and Breana Curtis with 13.
The Lady Bulldogs then traveled to Weldon Valley on Thursday Sept 11 and lost in three. (22-25, 23-25, 21-25) Leading in Kills was Nichole Burns with 6, Elizabeth Fehringer with 5, and Breana Curtis with 4. Nichole Burns led in blocking with 4, followed by Fehringer and Curtis with 2 each. Brooke Schumacher picked up 18 digs and Angelee Goranson had 10.
The girls turned around the next night and traveled to Fleming and lost a well fought game (12-25, 16-25, 16-25), setting their record at 2-4. Kellsie Nienhuser had the only ace against the wildcats. Breana Curtis and Nichole Burns had 3 kills a piece. Breana Curtis racked up 19 digs, followed by Nichole Burns with 13 and Brooke Schumacher with 11.
The Lady Bulldogs will travel to Prairie on Thursday next week at 5 and then on to Briggsdale on friday, playing at 4:30.

The Peetz Bulldogs started their season off on Friday August 29 at home against Arickaree. The bulldogs won the set in 4, (25-16, 25- 9, 26-28, 25-17) Michelle Bivens led in aces with 5, followed by Brooke Schumacher with 4, and Nichole Burns and Angelee Goranson both with 3. Elizabeth Fehringer led blocking with 12 followed by Nichole Burns with 10. Nichole Burns led in blocks with 5, followed by Elizabeth Fehringer with 4 and Angelee Goranson with 1. Brooke Schumacher picked up 11 digs, Breana Curtis had 8, Kellsie Nienhuser and Michelle Bivens had 7 each, and Nichole Burns with 6.
The girls played two games the next week with Pawnee and Otis. Peetz Lost to Pawnee on Tuesday in three sets (16-25,21-25,21-25) and also fell to Otis on Friday in 3 matches.
The girls will be busy theis week with three road games. Peetz will play Haxtun on the 9th starting at 4 with C, JV, and Varsity, then play Weldona on Thursday the 11th starting at 5:30 with JV and Varsity, then travel to Fleming on Friday to play C, JV, and Varsity starting at 4:30

Welcome Back Peetz Volleyball!

The Volleyball season is off to another beginning in a new year. The peetz volleyball team comes into the 2008 season with seven seniors, four juniors, five sophomores, and six freshman. Twenty-two girls, finally out numbering the boys on the football team for the first time in quite a while. Practice started bright and early on August 11 and the girls have been practicing hard every day since then. The lady bulldogs had a scrimmage on August 25 at Caliche. Peetz will start their season off with a home game on August 29 at home against Arickaree at 5.
